cloudy and cold

This evening I am really dragging. Physically exhausted after taking boxes to and from storage for work. Heavy boxes of paper. While wearing front office clothes and shoes. Whatever needs doing is my job description summary, I think.

But like a good little team member, I came home and finished the frame for the holiday card from everyone to our boss. It's a puzzle and each employee decorated a piece with a little encouragement and lots of supplies from me. Some wanted their piece done for them and couldn't imagine how it all would go together. One of the co-workers is really into "helping" by "doing it for you" and she had several take her up on the offer. They just kind of stood around and pointed while she cut and glued. I take the approach that you decide where you want to start and I'll point you in the direction of some interesting paper, ephemera, bits of stuff and you arrange it and glue it down. Ownership of the result with just some guidance.
On the other hand, I wasn't going to decorate the frame of the puzzle by committee and when they asked who was doing that, I said simply ... I am. End of discussion.
I'll post a photo of the whole thing later this weekend.
