needs an edge

My workroom floor as a small fabric quilt page. I enjoyed this little adventure, though the free-motion embroidery is still hard for me.

I want it to look as good as those I've seen done on the wonderful machines by really experienced sewers. Mine is still pretty pedestrian - herky/jerky, long and short stitches, totally out of control swirls. After all that, I put on the flannel padding and the backing. Straight stitched these altogether - more my style! A grid to follow, no surprises, less risk.

Diane - this looks wonderful. What fun! Doesn't look to me as though it needs another thing. You should see MY studio floor. Yeccch. Love what you did with yours!
