series

Friday is not the most productive day of my week. We usually do dinner out - not always fancy date, but at least we're not watching TV while we eat. Tonight it was Golden Corral. The best you can say is at least you get to see what you're going to be eating before it arrives at your table.

So I'll be running a weekly series entitled Frogs on Friday. Showcasing the little guys who inhabit my house. If I can remember anything about them, I will reveal where they come from, what they are made of, who gave them to me, etc.

Tonight's Frog was a gift from Wendy:

He's carved from tagua nut and the dark part is the natural skin on the nut. Tagua nut is often called vegetable ivory since it is similar in appearance to elephant tusk. No trees were killed to produce this frog. However there will be one less tagua tree in the forest because this nut is in my upstairs bathroom.
