sooner or later

The start of another nice tradition. Similar to "ladies who lunch" but not limited to one hour! We can talk for hours. It's good to eat, drink and yak.

Happy New Year! This is the year of the Pig and I was born in the year of the Pig - very auspicious. 2007 is my year. I've got till February 6, 2008 to reap the benefits of all this good karma.
I have to investigate the possibility of a pig collection instead of frogs...not! Frogs are it. No pigs, please. Going to a party today. An open house - the first opportunity to pig out for the new year. Gotta avoid that aspect of pigology in order to take advantage of my best year yet.
I've started off well this morning. Cleared up a lot of stuff on my two worktables. I have neatly organized boxes of things to put in my collage book. A place to start working on the birds on a wire project. And I'm headed downstairs to clear away the zone of destruction following the grill king's spectacular steak event last night. J and I sat down and watched the baby crawl around the floor or bounce in his chair while we did some needle felting. Then I stayed up a bit longer and put some beads on the goddess and updated yesterday's post with her photo. A much more pleasant activity than loading the dishwasher.

I haven't been lazy, just knitting a bit. And I working out "ze stitch" that will be good for hinging my 4x4 cards into an accordion book. Check back in a day or two, I'll show how it's done.

I'm running behind on everything. Round robin projects are arriving daily....

The grill king has invited the kids over for another dinner party on Friday. (When do I get taken out to eat and waited on like royalty again? Oh, yeah, never, we usually eat at a buffet or someplace where you stand in line to order and then go pick up a tray when the vibrator goes off in your pocket.) Then Saturday night another birthday celebration and probably a short person will be invited to sleep over. A huge open house to attend on Sunday afternoon - unless it sleets and freezes as predicted. It's such a large crowd that usually most of us are outside in the gardens all afternoon, but this weekend is a bit iffy for a garden party.

Not sure it's serious jewelry. Maybe my granddaughter will like it for a few minutes. I flipped one charm over so you can see the other side.

Meeting a friend after work. She needs a little company.
