Rain has slowed down. Ground is still muddy. Snap peas appear to have survived the freezing temperatures this week. More blossoms, no peas yet. No bees either - wonder how these are going to get pollinated?
Was going to just go to bed early tonight since we didn't go out to eat but I got involved in finishing another ATC idea. I have a photo of a really cool door which needed some tweaking to make it just right. So I fiddled with that for awhile and printed out all the parts and coated them with medium so they won't smear. Then I fiddled with another photo just for fun. I'm waiting for a white dog to appear so he can be added to the Dog on the Rocks.

I have finished the orignal piece of art that will go to Susan tomorrow. No peeking. I wonder how long I have to wait for four more to jump at the chance. Tap, tap, tap. See my post on December 29.
I will not start a new project until the door/crayon ATCs are done. I will not start a new project....

Toni offered free stuff on her blog to the first five who commented! There were only three, so I thought about it for two maybe three seconds, and clicked on Comment. The only teeeny little catch is that I have to make the same offer here. So get in line, don't crowd, first five comments get a little something made my own two hands and one or two of the myriad pieces of equipment and some of my precious supplies of which I have rooms full.
You will also need to email me privately with your physical location. Do not post your address in your comment, please!
"The first five people to respond to this post (via the comments section) will get some form of art made by me. The only catch, of course: as with most memes, if you sign up, you have to put this in your own blog as well."
I will now repair to my workspace and begin these five masterpieces. If you don't hear from me for a week, you will know that it is going very, very well and that you must be patient while the muse and I work.
It would be really sad if no one wants one. I would then have to use five alias and write comments to myself. Oh, I didn't say that out loud, did I? That would be cheating, of course.

All's fair at Christmas time. We opened a package last night, too. But it said perishable and the packing box was too big to fit in the fridge. And well, we had to be sure they were still fresh. And it was. Emphasis on the "was." They're all gone now. But the packaging was very cute and very detailed.

This needs a lot of set-up. And family members should just stop reading now....
My husband has hinted at going on a cruise for years but only because the buffet feeding frenzy really sounds like such a great way to spend a week. He hates boats and sailing and fishing. I hate sand and water deeper than my bathtub. I've discouraged this idea of his for years. Can't think of a darn thing he wants these days. Maybe he still wants to go on a cruise. So I made a fake lottery ticket and bought a box of junk from the dollar store including a mermaid, a crab, a mouse pad with tropical fish on it, palm trees, pirates and little boats and a puzzle of a parrot head. Then I added a page with a ship from a dot-to-dot book entitled Can You Connect the Dots? I think he'll get the idea.
But if he still doesn't get it, I'll have him scratch off the spots on the lottery ticket and see that he's won a 7-day cruise to Cozumel.
If you want to do this yourself, just print out your picture and the prizes (be sure you have three that match!), then put tape over the prize spots and apply dark acrylic paint over the words. It really will scratch off just like the real thing!
