not exactly girly girls

This is my spread in a vintage girly girls book. I tried to make it girly but my daughter and I agree it is not exactly in the same style as the rest of the book. She thinks it's because I used torn edges and did not use stock images. I don't do stock images. I tried to use some and they just didn't look good to me. Started this spread over twice. It's pretty textured because of all the stuff I painted over. I like it now, it's my style, that will have to do.

out of Africa

I put a few doodahs on this that seemed to fit the theme and so it's ready to continue on its journey. Only one more stop before it goes home to Donna.

bound

This is the round robin that was completed a year ago!!! I just got around to finding it again and stitching it into a book. Now that is embarrassing. But I'm in a mood to finish things, so you have to admit to the bad while you brag about the good.

Hopefully you can see a slide show of the pages in the book.

lyrics

Lyrical Potpourri is a round robin with song lyrics as the theme. I have to do two spreads! I have one done and ideas for another. This one is for Rick Nelson's Garden Party and part of the song, I like best is the line "no one recognized me, I didn't look the same." And then the guitars...just looked good in the garden.

quintessential art

"Too Many Irons in the Fire"
This little round robin is home and finished! Yea! I love it. Rachel gave me a brick firebox that opens with irons (spelling out ART) inside. Wendy collaged dozens of very old ads and articles on ironing and a secret flap with ironed velvet inside, Carol took a sassy look at fashion in many eras, and Paivi drew old irons and modern symbols used on clothing tags and showed me the sole of her iron.

Even with this one finished, I still have too many irons in the fire.
